Please for the love of God and all that is right in the world take this review and the many other negative reviews here seriously as they are here for good reason! Move on DON"T spend your hard earned money at AFW! I sure wish I had because when it comes to customer service AFW is the absolute worst! They make it very clear that if even when they screw things up royally they really don't give a sh*t and in just about as many words that is what I was told by their supposed Customer Service Manager Carrie (no last name given hmmmm).
My wife and I went to the Glendale store on 1-4 and found a bedroom set we liked. However we were told by our salesperson, Johnny Weatherly, that the bed was out of stock but on order and should be back in stock within ten business days. This sounded reasonable and acceptable to my wife and I so we ordered and paid for the set and decided to wait as Johnny said he would call us to set up a delivery date when it arrived. Well after eleven business days, still no call so I called AFW (their hold time to speak to a customer service rep are absolutely ridiculous by the way) I was told the furniture was still out of stock and they had "no idea" when it was coming in because it was on a transfer order from their Colorado store and that truck won't leave until it is full! So this clearly being a different story than Johnny the sales guy told us we got a bad feeling and decided to cancel the order and get a refund. The very next morning who do I get a call from but my friendly sales guy Johnny with good news out bedroom set was in and ready for delivery (not on commission- total BS!)
So because we had not purchased anything else yet we replaced the order with AFW and set up delivery for Monday 1-16. The truck arrived early in the scheduled delivery window and we were actually quite impressed with that but after bringing in the nightstands and dresser one of the delivery guys innocently asks me if the headboard and footboard for the bed was already here because all he had was the side rails! I instantly know this is not going to end up well for us and the customer service nightmare begins! So after about 25 minutes on the phone with his manager the deliver guy (who actually was very nice) said that they really did not know what was going on or why they just delivered 1/3 of a bed that the computer is showing as "out of stock". He said I would have to speak with my salesman or customer service to figure it out.
So after calling AFW customer service twice (got hung up on after being on hold for twenty minutes on the first attempt) I ask for the store manager but get Carrie the customer service manager instead. She immediately informs me the whole situation is my fault for cancelling the first order because when I did that my bed went to someone else! Okay fine I said but then why did my salesman call me up to re-place my order if this were the case and just how did you imagine we would be able to sleep on 1/3 of a bed? Carries' reply was basically Johnny screwed up and asked me "what did I want her to do about it?" She made it abundantly clear that she and AFW could really care less about my business and offered to pick up the furniture that was just delivered and refund the entire purchase of course! Oh and for good will offered up a $50 store credit for our troubles and wasted time! Woooo Hoooo!!!
Do yourselves a favor folks and listen to Bree B, Tonya S, Sabrina R along with myself and many others here don't make the same mistake we did! Yes their prices are good but the pain you will experience dealing with AFW is just NOT worth it! MOVE ON!!!
