| - If I had to describe what my personal hell would look, feel, and smell like - it would be the inside of a Yellow Cab. I had to get from the airport to home at an unexpected time and thought I would save time by going with the cab at the airport. I did save time as opposed to waiting for another cab company, but also at the expense of becoming nauseated by the experience.
Anyone considering this cab company, I recommend they run. If you can handle waiting for another cab to come and get you and it is not a dire emergency - do it! Their prices are not any lower than higher end cab services in the area.. and in fact I would consider them a rip off for the quality of vehicle and "service".
The gentleman we had, who identified himself as "Sam", was not personable in the least and I do not think this is the right fit for him. I do expect a little customer service from a cab driver when you are dealing with people directly!
The trip was quiet, and the van was not in good condition. The whole trip you could hear the van rattling and movements were very jerky. I am extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke and I can tell you without a doubt there has been heavy smoking in the vehicle and easily within the last week. It gets better though, the nasty cigarette smoke is masked by a cheap air freshener and the cheap air freshener is masked by the smell of gasoline. Does it get any better than that? I think not!
Actually it DOES get better than that. So we get to our house and the gentleman tells us that his machine is broken for credit cards.. he then clarifies that it's because of the "mountains". Yes, I can see the mountains.. when I go out on the main roads, but we are not at all close to them.. and quite frankly most of the greater Phoenix area can see mountains too. I really feel this was a ploy just to force us into paying cash so he could save some extra dollars because apparently each transaction costs him $6 to put it through. This is where I say, customer service is needed.
I understand transaction costs are high, but I have a hard time believing your machine doesn't work miles from the mountains.. if this were the case how do I get cell reception??? Lastly, even if that is the case, you knew where you were driving us.. tell me up front you need cash.. what if I didn't have cash?!
Long story short, I will at all costs avoid this company and recommend the same to others.
