Stayed here on a Wednesday night. It was a busy place with some sort of Republican mayoral or governor party happening in the convention area. I'll grade each of the areas I used:
Room: B
Comfy. Seems like it was renovated in the last few years. Ample space. One knock: very, very few electrical outlets. Had to plug the iron in to the bathroom outlet.
Check-in and staff: A
Super friendly and quick.
Lobby: A
Big, spacious, yet inviting.
Restaurant/bar: B
Had a quick beer before turning in. People seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Location: A
In the heart of downtown. Close to everything.
Intangibles: F
$8.00 for water? We're in Phoenix. It's summertime. It's like 140 degrees out.
$20 for internet? Are you kidding me? This is a very poor way to treat your customers - gouging them.
I got this hotel for super cheap on expedia, so it was okay for a night, but based on principle alone, I would never spend more than one night here.
