  • I had suffered from necrotizing fasciitis 2 years in a row almost to the day a year apart. The 2nd time I almost died. I was in a coma for 3 wks and ramped up on pain pills of all sorts for 5 months. My beautiful hair was deeply matted from laying on my back for 8 weeks in the hospital. When I finally went home for a few weeks, my husband stood for 4 hours picking out my matted hair. He had to cut it in some places. With the matting, the drugs, and the 11 surgeries, my spirits were at an all time low. To make matters worse, my hair was falling out in clumps. My husband was trying and buying anything and everything to boost my low spirits. He found Sunny's, explained what happened to me, what was happening to my hair, and the fact that I just wanted to cut my hair off and start over. The manager recommend hair product to help my hair. I didn't want anything to do with it, to busy having my own little pity party. My husband was going to return it, but Berta, the manager, said to wait me out. She was right, a few weeks later I asked for the products and started using it. My hair started to improve greatly. 4 months later, I finally had the courage to stop at Sunny's myself and ask Berta's help to get fullness back in my hair while it is growing out. Berta was busy with another client, but another customer service person was more than happy to help me. I now have my hair back to what it was. Yes, it is enhanced through extensions right now, but it was a big positive step forward in my mind on a long long road of recover, Whether you have problem hair, hair loss, want to have fun with your hair, any hair question, this is the place to go.
