  • I purchased a LivingSocial deal for an eyebrow wax and a woman's haircut. Maureen was my stylist, and she also did my eyebrow wax. She was friendly and skilled and gave me a few tips on how to style my hair. The wax was great, very quick and gentle, and the results look just like a better, neater version of my normal eyebrows. The best part was that she listened to me and did exactly what I asked for or made good suggestions for what to do instead. I have thick curly hair, and I have had A LOT of terrible haircuts over the years, so I've learned what I prefer to have done with it. I did not want any of the bulk removed with thinning shears, and I did not want a shag. I asked for a long bob, slightly angled towards the front, and very slightly taken in in the back. Maureen delivered exactly that. She suggested a way to take in the back that wouldn't leave me with a stacked look, which I did not want. She was great at checking with me to see if I liked the length and shape. Maureen ended with blow drying my hair with a diffuser and styled it curly, which has never happened to me before. Usually stylists give me a quick blow out or straighten my hair before adding curls back in. I love that she did this instead. I wear my hair curly all the time so it was great to see what it would actually look like when I styled it at home. This was probably the fastest haircut and wax I've ever received. Maureen knows what she's doing. I was in and out within 45 minutes. Loved that, especially on a weekday night! I will definitely be returning to her the next time I need a haircut. A few notes on the Salon: a cozy little waiting section with water and mints available, nice decor and lights, and the bathroom was huge and had a place for me hang my purse so it was off the floor. Priorities!
