If you come to this place knowing it is a muscadine grape winery, you'll be happy here. If you expect regular grape wines, you're in for a surprise, and whether it's a good surprise depends on your palate. Halfway through the tasting, the flavor grew on me (not being a Southerner I'd never had muscadines or scuppernongs before). This place is also fairly cheap compared to some other NC wineries I've been to. If you want to try something regional and new (and are okay with sweet wines), this is the place.
The grounds are beautiful, so take a book or a picnic and just hang out for a while. Well worth it!
