My experience was meh honestly...but that is probably because I didn't order a burger. Being more of a sandwich guy myself I figured I should try a sub first...mistake. I ordered the New Yorker, and it is a good thing I only got a small because anything more would have been a complete waste of money, because I didn't want to eat any more than the half I ate.
Bread is a big deal to me, it's what sets a good sandwich apart from the greats...and it can make a sandwich go from good to just meh in just 1 bite...unfortunately their bread is basically just an overgrown hotdogs bun...WAY too soft...the bread was so soft it basically started to disintegrate after the first bite. Maybe their burger buns and regular bread are better but the sub rolls...no go.
Meat and cheese was ok...but there definitely was not enough meat that is for dang sure. And I'm not sure if it was the pastrami or the rocket sauce but something tasted like roasted red peppers, not a bad thing..must very unexpected.
Coleslaw was the best part of the sandwich but weirdly the slaw and slaw dressing were not mixed...like it was just cabbage and then dressing on top...weird. Good balanced flavor though.
Lastly the cheese curds...were sad. Over Salted and weirdly dusty? Like the batter or dredge was too much flour and it didn't get fully cooked because it honestly tasted like cheesy salty wallpaper paste. Strange.
Side note the Ginger Beer from the fountain was meh as well.
I would be willing to come back for a burger but I won't order a sub again.
