  • Our grooming appointment didn't go as planned, but, given the circumstances, I think Kate did a wonderful job. Within the last year, we adopted our beautiful and loving.. yet also fearful and reactive, rescue. She has a gorgeous long-haired double coat that is easily matted without careful, diligent brushing; but, due to her fear of new people and a horrendous past grooming experience, Nadia absolutely hates to be brushed or bathed- especially with strangers. We took her in this afternoon and sadly Nadia reacted badly to the experience so Kate was unable to finish, but honestly her coat looks better with your unfinished job than she did with 4-5 hours at another groomer. Kate didn't even charge us full price even though she did a primo job and she had every rights to tell us to come pick up our dog as she was acting extremely agitated, but Kate kept her and did all that she could without causing my dog even more anxiety. Seriously - top notch Kate. I am sad that Nadia will be unable to come back, although I completely understand and appreciate your recommendation of a nearby reactive dog groomer. Hopefully we will be able to use Dog Haus' services for pet sitting and daycare in the future because I was very impressed by their passion and honesty in taking care of your pets.
