  • OK so a Groupon coupon caught my attention in my e-mail box about killing Zombies at a place called VR Rage and wanting to do something new I went and checked it out. Now the Groupon came with a slice of pizza, a soft drink and a bag of chips and to be honest I wasn't expecting much concerning the Pizza but I was wrong, the slice came from Hungry Howies and it was excellent. OK so we sat down and ate, afterwards we were shown our booth and given instructions on how the controllers worked, the headset went on and the game started and I'll tell you it was the most fun I've had all winter, we found ourselves in a southwest desert canyon with scaffolding, bridges and abandoned cars and plenty of Zombies, you had to reload your gun by finding more ammunition hidden around the very realistic graphics and of course you got to kill Zombies by blowing holes in their heads. I had a great time and afterwards before we left the parking lot we had already made plans for a return visit. This is a must do stop that everyone should experience. Now the caveats, there is a learning curve involved and game time comes in half hour increments at 11 dollars per half hour and I'm recommending everyone experience at least an hour and I promise it will be worth the 22 dollars you spend which equals to about 2 drinks at a downtown club listening to the same old stories and exaggerations from your friends. Killing Zombies for an hour before going to the clubs is much, much better. The staff and management go above and beyond friendliness to make you feel comfortable, the food is great, they even serve beer, the place is clean and well kept and the prices are in line for the fun you'll experience. I cannot wait to go back. The Virtual Reality games they offer are; Audio Shield, Arizona Sunshine, Astroid Blaster, Chromo Lab, Cowbots and Aliens, Goalkeep VR, Google Earth, Hoops VR, In Mind, Job Simulater, The Lab, VR Fun House, Overkill, Rec Room, Space Pirate Trainer, The Blu, VR Battleships and War Robots. Check their website for times but as of now they're open Tues thru Thur from 4pm to 9pm, Fri 4pm to 11pm and Sat-Sun 10am to 11pm. Folks you will have a great time. Jim
