  • Wow, I've been busy and I haven't had a chance to do this review like I wanted to. My boyfriend and I went to Charlotte for a day trip & found this place for a brunch before we hit the road. It was Sunday, therefore we alreeeeady knew it was about to be a wait. What is convenient for this location is that rug parking garage is right next to it. Therefore, if you're with someone, drop them off so they can get a table then park and come back down. For our wait, we did the text message system and I thought that was very savvy. We were told we had to wait 25 minutes. We ended up waiting around 40. It's brunch, what do you expect lol? I always enjoy looking at the menu prior to me sitting if there's a wait. Like why .. wait to get waited on when you were already waiting. This location had a menu on the outside of the building which helped speed the process up. As we were waiting I saw that this restaurant had won awards. So in my mind, their bar just raised. When you walk in there was a bar where you can order your fun drinks and pick up your togo orders. I feel like one of my favorite parts of the restaurant was how we got to sit upstairs. We got to look over the. .. wait for for it. .. TERRACE LOLLLL. Our waiters name was Brandon. He was pretty cool. While ordering, he actually made me excited for the food. We waited, not very long actually. I ordered banana pecan french toast with a side of hash browns. YES CARBS. The toast came but I had to wait almost 10 minutes for my hash browns. I was a little disappointed. Why? Because I like eating everything I ordered at ONCE... and well. . I like taking photos of my food & it was missing lol. When I got the hash browns I was little. .. ehh idk. It didn't have annnny type of seasoning. They were bland. The french toast was a yes and my boyfriend didn't have any complaints about his food. So it's time for us to leave & we needed to use the restrooms. If you have read any of my previous reviews, bathrooms are a big deal for me. To me, they are a reflection on the cleanliness of your kitchen area. An example, yes the kitchen can get chaotic, however for safety concerns, they need to be managed to make sure that the health and safety is kept up. . whaaaaale. . the bathrooms at this location weren't "everything". There was barely any tissue and it was "placed" on top of the roller when clearly, you could just place it. .. alright anyway. Stuff was all over the floor, etc. I understand that yes it's brunch, yes it's a weekend, yes it's busy. . however there needs to be someone checking it more often when the traffic is higher in the restaurant. Overall rating: 3.5. Pros: - service, GO Brandon - atmosphere - quality of food Cons: - bathrooms - prices for side items - no seasoning on the hash browns - food was "forgotten" and had to wait. I know for a fact that when in the area again, we will be back.
