Worst customer experience ever. My full review and detailed list of issues from this project and Wesmor far surpasses the length allowed on yelp so i bullet pointed specifics
*Terrible communication resulted in several issues that affect project schedule & cost
*They did not use any sort of containment materials so after day 1 my entire bedroom included my bed was covered in dust
*Could not get a schedule from them until towards the end of the project so never knew if they were coming or who was coming to my house
*One of their subs tracked something in on my stairs, since they dont use preventative plastics or shoe caps the carpet was ruined. Took them over a month to take ownership and communicate that they would replace it.
*Home surveillance cameras caught one of their subs walking around my downstairs (project was upstairs) going through my kitchen and fridge. They then walked into my den where i had a second fridge and helped themselves to a soda.
*Surveillance camera also caught their in house drywaller sweeping sheet rock, drywall and other debris into my kids play room and directly next to their toys.
*Downstairs ceiling required painting due to the upstairs leak. They did not cover well and got paint on my new sectional couch, tile and lamps.
*On a regular basis i was finding nails and other sharp job related stuff in my front yard. Was constantly having to pick up after they left to prevent one of my kids getting hurt.
*Washed their paint bucket out in my front yard which was fine but they were very sloppy about it so it splattered on my wall and onto my neighbors side of the yard.
*I had some broken tiles on my roof and decided to ask the GC for contacts and quote on someone doing a roof tune up and replacement of broken tiles. We agreed to scope of roof work and price. Caliber roofing was hired to complete this work and it could not have gone any worse. The first time they showed up I was working from home and noticed 5 guys just standing and staring at my second story. I went outside to greet them and they asked me if they could borrow a ladder. I couldn't believe a roofing company was asking me for a ladder. The next things that happened blew my mind. 3 of them climbed up on my garage and proceeded to take turns trying to scale my roof. The first one made up a few rows and slid back down, second guy made it a little further and then slide down. 3rd guy ran up my roof and laid down. At this point I had neighbors come outside to watch. After they left I got a break at work and was able to assess their work. I noticed a flashing sticking straight up which was not sticking up prior as well as additional broken tiles where they were working that were not broke before. I also noticed they did not replace a single tile but glued the broken ones. This was unacceptable and not what I agreed to. After arguing with the owner of the roofing company they sent the crew out a second time. They showed up with only a couple tiles and not enough to replace the 5 tiles that were broken and glued. Again unacceptable. After they left the second time I noticed an entire tile was missing from the side of my roof. I was actually able to see the underlayment of my roof. Now I am stuck with no matching tiles and tile missing. Wesmor didn't want anything to do with this even though it was their sub. So they told me I am on my own, they won't charge me but I needed to hire my own company.
*Numerous problems with PM, son in law of the owner, not communicating to the subs nor me. Subs resulted in the following
o We had specific measurements we need our Niche and the PM did not communicate those to the person doing the work so we are now stuck with a smaller niche that doesn't fit out normal shampoo bottles.
o Several instances of people showing up and asking us what they need to do
o The final walk through and day of the project I noticed the toilet, mirror and towel bars were not installed. When I asked their in house guy he said that was not on his list of things to finish up. When I called the PM he proceeded to tell me most people prefer to install their own toilet and towel bars to save $. This was beyond my comprehension that anyone would build a custom bathroom but prefer to install their own toilet, which by the way was the reason that caused the remodel to begin with. This resulted in the project extending another week to completion
*Granite was installed with a cavity in the backsplash, Now i am stuck with an epoxy filler on my backsplash
*We agreed to final grand total of project and upon completion received 2 invoices for different amounts both higher than agreed amount.
