| - After a busy day in Pittsburgh, nothing beats a great dinner with good food. Even though it was raining, we walked a few blocks to this place. A block away we saw a line winding out from a corner. No mistake, it was Gaucho Parrilla. Standing in the rain, I saw in the faces of the crowd resolution and passion for the upcoming dinner.
No sooner than one hour, we finally made our order and got sit down at a table. Waiting staff were very friendly. We brought a bottle of wine and a server promptly asked how many wine glasses we need. Everything was ready, dinner was served.
Wife's Carne burger made with grilled ribeye, was truly great. She also had steak and chicken empanadas. Seeing my jealous look, she cut a small piece to share. It was good indeed. My parillada mixta was also terrific, with medium rare pink colored strip steak, blacken chicken and sausage, made a meat lover happy. I had to reluctantly share some with my wife in exchange for her generosity sharing the carne and empanadas.
Great food, reasonable price, byob no cork charge and with wine glass from the house, servers came a few times asking if need any help. Except the noise in the hall made by all the excited dinners and people waiting in line, this is a perfect dining experience for us. Five star and will be back if we are in Pittsburgh.
