| - I was really looking forward to trying, but I am so disappointed. Looked like Voodoo Doughnuts, but not even close. I asked if they have Boston Creme and was told they only have Bavarian. I was disappointed but ordered two anyway...And they WERE Boston Creme! Lol Gotta know what you're selling. Ordering was not an enjoyable experience but I'll spare you every tiny detail of it. I can understand the poor customer service a bit as it's opening week and the kids are still training, but what upset me the most was that she forgot to put two of my donuts in the box. I drove 60 miles round trip, so when I got home and saw those donuts weren't in there I was ticked. THEN I call the only phone number listed to let them know, but it's not a working number. (Ugh! Seriously?!) The website isn't up yet either. There's no way to reach them. I figured once the swipe receipt I requested via text arrived it might have contact info listed, but the receipt never arrived. (Geesh) Anyhow, the reason for the poor review is not necessarily all of the above, but rather the fact that the donuts were just not very good. One suggestion I have for Hurts is that they either need to make smaller donuts or provide bigger boxes. Not cool when your lemon and apple filled donuts are propped sideways and the filling entirely leaks out. The donuts were dry, the maple bacon had gross chewy bacon on it (and because they are not considered standard donuts and don't qualify as part of a dozen they crammed them into two paper bags for me rather than providing a box so they basically looked disgusting when I pulled the crammed long johns out of the bags). Now I'm home after driving 60 miles, spending $32, without the two German Chocolate donuts we were most excited about, and are left with 17 donuts we tasted and have decided we would rather throw out than eat. I love the idea and their marketing is super cool, but I won't return. I hope other customers have better experiences. If you go, please check your box before leaving and make them put all your donuts in boxes, not bags. If you order a dozen, ask them to lay them flat and provide the extra box if needed. If I'd done that I'd be less annoyed. Still wouldn't have like the donuts but probably would not have complained.
