  • So today March 27th at around 8:20am I walked into LVAC in Sandhill and Flamingo, like I usually do. I went to get on the elliptical and right next to that machine was a fellow gym goer that told Me he didn't recognize me because he noticed that my body changed. He proceeded to tell me and ask how much weight I have lost. I told him I didn't lose any weight that I am the same. But he insisted that I had lost some inches. I told him that it's frustrating that I come 5x a week and that I continue to struggle. I get up on the elliptical and it starts to squeak. He then calls the maintenance man over who's name is Gustavo" and tells him that the machine doesn't work because it is squeaking. Gustavo then gets on and says no it works. Try the next one so I did and then that one squeaked. So I then said, well maybe I'm too heave for this machine. Gustavo then says to me yea how much do you weight? You need to shut your mouth and stop eating! And only was vegetables! I looked at Gustavo in shock and said "really"? And he walks away. The fellow gym goer shook his head and I walked away as my tears ran down my face.... Today I wasn't expecting to get FAT SHAMED or BULLIED! Today I wanted to workout and work on ME! Like every other day, that I pay LVAC my hard earned wages so that I can get a hard earned work out in. I clearly know I need to lose weight and that's why I go! But no, I got BULLIED, DISRESPECTED and treated like a pig! Oh and not by a fellow gym goer, but by none other then an EMPLOYEE!!!! Is this how you people run your gyms? Is this how you want people to feel? To go home in tears because today that's what happened to Me. I didn't ask for that. I go in every morning and am respectful to everyone I see, to the wonderful lady Colleen in the morning, to the great trainer Theresa that is there. Now I wonder, has Gustavo the maintenance man ever done this to anyone else? Has he made them feel so disgusting to the point of throwing up and feeling the painful hurt from the pit of their stomach? Because let me tell you Gustavo sure made me feel that way today! Even hours later I am still in tears! I wonder how somebody can get away with treating others like this? LVAC are these the type of people you hire? Bully's? Disrespectful, inappropriate people? Something needs to be done and it needs to be done now! 6 yrs of going to LVAC and this is the 2nd time this has happened. Instead of feeling safe and happy. Now I don't feel comfortable going back!
