| - I decided to dis-enroll my 2.5 year old daughter from her previous preschool that she has been attending since she was 3 months old because of the "Dream" that the staff sold me at Children's Learning Adventure. The facility is amazing. When you walk in you'll be in awe, but don't let that fool you. The care is mediocre. My daughter's previous school was less expensive and they interacted more with the children. They even granted us a discount which allowed us to pay $190 weekly which is the part-time rate but my daughter attended full time. Don't let hem fool you by saying they don't do discounts because clearly they do. They even took half off of our enrollment fee. It wasn't a special either. They needed to build their census so they allowed us to pay a discounted price. My daughter attended this school for a very short amount of time. We pulled her after being enrolled for only 3 months. My daughter began to complain of being hit by a little boy. She came home with multiple bruises. I voiced my concerns and was given negative feedback by management. The staff speaks negatively of management and each other. I literally HATE this school and I have discouraged all of my friends from enrolling their precious angels at this hell hole. My reasons are listed below.
Management: There is only one director to run that entire facility. I'm unsure if she is just that busy, but she DOES NOT interact with families and children. She would pass by me and many other parents on a consistent basis and not engage AT ALL. She would just put her head down and walk by. After complaining about the little boy hitting my daughter, the director would give me ugly stares. She wouldn't speak at all and if I would call for an update she would give me this nasty attitude. She would tell me, "Ma'am do you need something else or are you calling about the same issue again". I had to consistently contact her for updates. As a supervisor, I do not believe she should be in this role. I don't think she encompasses the personality nor the skill to do this job. She also treats her staff like crap.
Staff: They gossip and they lie!!! The staff openly speaks negatively about management to parents. They speak of all the issues in the facility in front of parents including (FREQUENTLY BEING OUT OF RATIO AND HAVING MORE KIDS THAN THE STATE ALLOWS IN THEIR CLASSROOMS; NOT GETTING RELIEVED FOR POTTY BREAKS OR LUNCH BREAKS) and the list goes on. They stated how the director treats them like crap and like they're inferior.
I've witnessed them allow kids to hit other kids without trying to redirect them or separate them. They simply turn their backs and act as if nothing happened.
Cleanliness: The children's restrooms are disgusting. Teacher's frequently use children's toilets in their classrooms because they said it takes at least 1.5 hours for someone to finally come and relieve them for a restroom break. How disgusting is that? A grown woman's private areas on a toddler's toilet that they put their fingers on. It consistently smells like BM's in the class rooms. My daughter is fully potty-trained and she came home multiple times with stool in her panties.
The teachers said that all of the children cough and are sick consistently because the air conditioner drops down to about 65 degrees during the day and the kids are freezing in those classrooms. So if you enroll your child make sure you send them with long sleeved tops and bottoms.
I wrote the director a two page letter upon my daughters disenrollment and I told her that she should not make any contact with me to discuss my reasons for separating listed in the letter.
Childcare: As I've stated before, the care is mediocre. My daughter has been reenrolled to her previous school. They stated that they follow a strict curriculum which allows the children different experiences in areas such as the art studio, science lab and kitchen, but I didn't notice any kind of advancement in her development.
She came home with multiple cuts & bruises without any kind of report as to what happened and no teacher could explain to me what happened.
Bottom Line::::: If you love your child, you would not send them to this treacherous facility. They are absolutely deceiving. Their care is mediocre while the facility itself looks absolutely amazing. Your child is not safe here. After I voiced my concerns about the little boy hitting my daughter, they promised to remove him from her classroom, and when I would pick her early, they were in the same classroom.
Your kids are not safe here.
