| - WAAAAY back in the 1970s, our family began eating here, and always enjoyed it. We ate the traditional fried chicken and the "cluck-e-tos" (chicken taquitos/flautas/rolled tacos). What with one thing and another, we drifted away.
A couple of months ago, I was driving down that stretch of West Charleston near Jones, and saw the Farm Basket sign. (I thought they had gone out of business.) Still around, still that one small building, and, surprisingly, the same very good chicken. Of course, in the interest of nostalgia, I had to order more cluck-e-tos ... still as good as I remember then. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the roll. It's a huge thing, which in itself is not bad, but they drizzle it with some kind of sweet syrup, which is not what I want when I want bread with my chicken. Otherwise ... yeah, I'll be back.
