  • To be frank, I'd be giving this place 5/5 stars if it wasn't for the internet charge. I just can't agree with hotels charging for internet in 2016 :) I had spent the night in a different downtown hotel, which was priced higher, and this hotel easily beat it for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, the location is quite superb. You are in striking distance down to Queen St, which means an easy walk for some tasty eats. Want to see the Pan-Am Toronto sign? It's across the street. Yes, parking is $45 but you can mitigate that by parking in the Green P Municipal City Hall lot. We managed to leave in time for the morning fee (6pm-7am) and paid $6! That's unheard of! I arrived having booked a room with 2 doubles, and the front desk attendant kindly moved me to a Queen room once I informed her that I was traveling with my partner. She also made sure the room faced Nathan Phillips Square for a nice view off of the 10th floor. I inquired about the internet option for SPG rewards members; she advised that its usually reserved for actual bookings via SPG's website. Erm, no thanks. Luckily for me, she kindly placed a note on my file to avoid the charge. I'd absolutely recommend this hotel for visitors. It's right by TTC subway and streetcars... plus its priced competitively.
