rev:text	OK so really cool place for kids to see with tons of things hanging from the ceiling moving all over with a circus type atmosphere. And this is a kosher Jewish style deli so no bacon or pork chops which is fine with me. However the place is a little dirty overall. Not sure I'd let my kids paw all over the various novelty things in the dining area as many looked awfully tired and dirty. Bathrooms not very clean either. The food was expensive and not as impressive as I had hoped. We split an order of friend pickles which were the best thing we had although they were barely warm when they hit the table. The chicken noodle motza soup was average but again, was barely warm. I had a the pastrami on rye and the meat was ok, a little dry and not very warm and the rye was a little dried out. Sandwich not very big either. After being to some of the NYC delis over the years, I expected a piled high pastrami but it was fairly small. Fries also room temperature warm. A mushroom swiss burger was ordered but seemed mediocre at best and was not finished. Lunch for two was $45 before tip which seemed like a lot of cash for an average lunch. But come on, a bowl of soup $5.20? Soft drinks $2.45 with no refills? A small pastrami sandwich $10 and another $3.25 to add a little pile of crinkle cut fries from your food service distributor? I know this place is a historical icon and a great place to bring little kids but they could at least step up the quality of the food for the prices and maybe close for a day and take some soap and water to the place.
