| - After living in Las Vegas just over a year, my girlfriend and I knew it would be smart to buy a home instead of continue to rent in such a market that was so advantageous to buyers. We didn't really know where to start, but of course everyone has a friend who's a realtor, so we asked around and were referred to Deven Chase of Synergy Sotheby's International Realty.
Being extremely uneducated on all things related to home buying, Deven made our experience buying a home a magnificent one. Deven first recommended a lender to us to get us started and we met with him shortly thereafter with some of our "must-haves" and preferences. Prior to meeting him, he already had a plan of some suggestions we might like. He was extremely prepared and literally made us feel right at home!
We were primarily interested in new builds and Deven showed us a number of homes that matched our criteria. After informing him of our final choices, he gave us the time we needed and requested to perform additional research on our end, as well as answer any and all questions we had in a prompt manner. When we made our final decision, he was apt to set up our appointment for signing and gave us a rundown of what to expect throughout the next few months while our new home was being built.
While our home was being built and having to converse often with our lender, Deven checked in regularly to ensure the lending process was going smoothly. Whenever I needed his assistance, he took initiative to make certain that they were doing all things possible to nail down a smooth closing.
When it came to performing the final walk-through once the home was finished, my girlfriend and I were extremely excited and had planned for family to come visit and help us move and set up our new home. During our walk-through, an item was damaged and we were told that we would not be able to sign our final loan documents until the next week. This put a huge damper in our plans as we were already packed and ready to move in, and now had no room for our family to stay over the weekend.
Deven worked tirelessly with the home-builder and allowed us to sign our final loan documents the day after we were told by the builder we would not be able to sign until the next week. Before we knew it, the next day we received our keys and crisis was averted! It was with Deven's help that we were able to move in that same weekend to celebrate our new home purchase with our family.
On a closing note, Deven was available whenever we needed him by any means necessary. He was prompt in all communication and made a newbie feel like a professional when all was said and done. I hold him in the highest regard in recommending him to help anyone in their realty needs, and know that I will be relying on him whenever I decide to enter anything real-estate related in the future.
