I actually watched his show maybe 5-6 years ago and recently watched his show again with my family. I remember enjoying his show the first time I saw him, but I felt that he was kind of full of himself. 5-6 years later, I have watched a handful more shows on the Strip.
This time around, I was far less impressed--even though he's changed his show. I know he's been around for a very long time, but man, the man seemed so bored on stage. There was no excitement; his lines sounded so rehearsed; and the interaction with _____ (trying to refrain from spoilers) was just awkward and fake.
Copperfield does do amazing tricks, but he repeats tricks within the same show. (He made three different things appear...) I definitely would like him to have more variation in his tricks because I know he is capable of it. His production budget is also HUGGEEE, and you can tell by his show.
I am glad I didn't pay full price for the tickets (check out Tix4tonight or Tickets on Demand throughout the Strip). There are many more shows on the Strip with very very passionate performers; this would not be my first choice show. ever.
