I came in with an issue with my Galaxy S6. A recent software roll out caused the phone to get stuck in a boot-loop. They told me that there really were no options for repairing or replacing my phone other than buying a new one. I couldn't believe this, given that I'm paying for insurance and its a manufacturer defect so I called the Verizon customer service center that day to make sure that buying a new phone was my only option. The support tech informed me that they could send me a replacement phone for free (actually free -- no hidden fees or contract amendments) with an RMA program. I did, and had a new (certified refurbished) working phone within 24 hours.
Long story short, I feel like the guys at this store were trying to fleece me for a commission. They assured me that they had explored and were telling me all of my options, but neglected to tell me the most obvious option (and the one that I had clearly stated that I preferred).
