  • I was so excited to try this restaurant while in Montreal and it didn't disappoint! I was able to get a reservation for 8 pm on a Saturday night. We were seated outdoors facing a court yard that had a pond with ducks and a really beautiful view. The service here is impeccable. The server, sommelier and other workers are all so helpful and really know the menu. We started with the bluefin tuna carpaccio and this other starter that had uni, fluke crudo, and avocado wrapped crab. They were both delicious. I loved the fluke, especially because it was marinated so well. They each came with a type of cracker or chip. One was made with squid ink and rice flour. For entrees, I ordered the John Dory fillet. It came with cauliflower and potato in a potato purée. They were these clear potato chips on top, that were really cool looking. The dish was amazing. I loved it. My boyfriend had a halibut fillet that was cooked in Singapore curry and served with shrimp and clams. He also loved the flavor and enjoyed it very much. The food was great and the service was amazing. We had such an amazing experience at Maison Boulud!
