  • This is definitely a place where you drive up and go "uh oh, what have I done?" But once you are inside the restaurant, all is well. But venturing outside the restaurant, you wonder how the Royal Resort is ever going to make it? The piano player in the lobby was so bad I can only surmise he was deaf. I think Motel Six has got this place beat on every count! Anyhow, the restaurant is small and intimate. The atmosphere is classy and romantic. Now for the food. My tuna tartare was unique. I liked it but not sure I've ever had tuna tartare with a spicy kick. I'm quite positive I've never had tuna tartare accompanied by a fried avocado. My pork chop was overcooked and the blue cheese sauce simply overwhelmed it. Wish it wasn't so but it was. My wife's Sea Bass was outstanding. She way out ordered me! Her foie gras was average and the cream corn with lobster was neither creamed nor anything to write home about. The service was attentive and the staff was nice and accommodating. I liked it okay, but I would not make a special trip to go back. Slightly upturned face.
