I was visiting my family from San Diego and was looking for a place for Sunday brunch on Mother's Day and found this place on here. I made reservations and I am so glad I did since there was 1 1/2 hour wait! There's a reason the wait is so long......the food is frickin great!!! The place was packed but they sat us immediately (thank you for honoring your reservations).
The menu had a lot to choose from and everyone had something different. My boyfriend and I both got the Egg's Benedict and I ordered the short stack pancakes for my 2 year old. I got a mimosa too, it was Mother's Day after all! The mimosa was fresh and light and perfect for brunch. The food took awhile to come out and my 2 year old was getting food cranky so the waitress brought him some crackers to tide him over. After he ate all of those he was still hungry! They brought him some fruit and some more crackers. We all appreciated that since a food cranky 2 year old is no fun for anyone to dine with!
When our food came out everything looked delicious! It tasted even better!! The hollandaise was so fresh and yummy, the eggs were perfectly poached and the potatoes crispy on the outside and tender on the inside! Mmmmmmmm!! My son's pancakes were perfect for him. He ate 3 of them (which for him is a lot, especially after fruit and crackers). Anyway, everyone was very pleased with their menu selections.
When the waitress brought the check she told us they had comped our cocktails for the food delay!! What great customer service, I mean totally above and beyond! I highly recommend this place and will most definitely be back when we come back to visit. I'm already sad we don't have one in San Diego
