  • Be very careful with this valumart! I live right around the corner. I only go there for an "emergency" (eg the kids do not have milk for cereal). The staff are generally unfriendly and usually look like they hate their lives. The cashiers talk to each other a lot and give you a face like you are a bother when you try to pay for your groceries. Perhaps the biggest problem though is the amount of expired merchandise they try to sell you. Today for instance, the skim milk that was out front and centre all expired today and the "fresh" cantaloupe fruit all expired. None of the staff seemed to care about the fact it was expired and still being sold. Go here only if you are desperate. Try the Foodland down the street or Metro if you have a car (the loblaws nearby also tends to sell expired goods, particularly meat).
