  • I was so angry at what happened here. First, because the rental car center "is one of a kind in the world," they charge 65% taxes, so the rental price was 34$, but the taxes were $120 on top of that. NOTHING on the website indicates that will happen. Also, I put the reservation on my credit card, but the stupid rep at Thrifty refused to take my word for it that I would NOT be driving, so he charged us DOUBLE for an additional driver. He did not offer any other alternative. So our car rental that should have been $65 for the weekend was QUADRUPLE that, at a whopping $250! I wrote to the company, and they did not give a darn about any refund. It was so stupid. This was the worst experience of a rip-off of my entire 40 years as a consumer!
