| - Having thus far only purchased two soft drinks, I am unable to comment on Robles main product, which of course would be the meats and seafood, other than to say those thick steaks were things of mouth-watering beauty that I could have torn into raw . . . but for the anticipated look of horror and possibly terror on the faces of the lovely family that runs the place and other customers.
Robles is a family run carniceria - meat shop in a smallish shopping plaza on the NW corner of 43rd Ave & Olive. The shop has only been open a few months and offers a modest selection of beef, pork, poultry, and seafood, as well as fresh vegetables, Mexican cheese, canned goods, bagged cooking spices, and a handful of household sundries such as soap, laundry detergent, and toilet paper, as well as a soft drink cooler that includes the American standards as well as Jumex fruit beverages (well at least one), aloe drinks (which I've come to like), as well as single serve bottles of orange and apple juice. House cooked barbicoa, menudo, and carnitas are available weekends only.
The husband and wife owners are friendly and welcoming, as is their very young son whom you may find behind the counter as well. I look forward to one of those big luscious steaks. I promise to not tear into it until I'm at least in the car. Don't want it to look like a scene from Vampire Diaries.
