  • To continue on with our foie gras kick, we paid Bachi Burger a visit. It's located about 10 minutes off the strip. No glitz, no glamor. Just some good grub. Set up was casual with TV screens everywhere, as typical with other burger joints. Bar in the middle that serves alcohol, BOBA teas and fruit juices. Adjacent and connected to a ramen place. Pretty gnarly that both menus were presented (most likely same owners) and they welcomed ordering from either menu. A burger and some ramen??? Sweet!! THE FOOD GIST: The OXTAIL CHILI CHEESE FRIES were quite EYE CATCHING. Our friends posted a pix on facebook and I drooled just looking at it. Bookmarked it instantly. How can you sit next to someone who ordered this dish and NOT want to have a bite? This is a MUST HAVE for that very reason. Overall, this dish was heavy and was a meal in itself. It was loaded with "pulled" oxtail, chili, cheese and topped w/ an oozing fried egg....CRAZEE!! The fries were just the right size and everything went well together. Loved the garlic aioli!! SHOGUN BURGER: Hats off to Bachi Burger for creating a pretty magnificent burger. The medley of ingredients are standing O worthy and complement each other well. Check it out: wagyu beef & unagi. pan seared FOIE GRAS, poached asian pear, miso butter and yamamomo peach. A hint of sweet and savory with every bite. BEST GOURMET BURGER in my eyes. I recommend DECONSTRUCTING it with foie gras on the side. I would take a bite of the burger, then a bite of foie gras. YUM-O!. I could've also done w/o the patty since I'm not a big meat person and it was a bit too heavy. I was feeling guilty and had to get a HOUSE SALAD: No bueno. It was blah. Dressing was lacking and greens were a bit too bitter for me. Not an arugula fan. STRAWBERRY LYCHEE LEMONADE: The waitress was so sweet and patient with me. It took me forever and a day to decide on a drink. I was back and forth between a boba tea and soda. She assured me that this drink was really good and I went for it. It was refreshing and made w/ fresh strawberries. Lychee flavor was very mild though. SERVICE: Friendly service and food came out at an average pace. TID BIT: 1) Outdoor seating available 2) Kid friendly. 3) Only 1 public bathroom. Long wait time :( The hubs and I really enjoyed our experience. We sat their eating away and were at one with our food. Will surely be back to try other burgers.
