  • I found Troy after googling for a dog trainer online. After sending me an welcome email, I thanked him and asked what the price range would be for one of his programs listed. He quickly got back to me saying there is a $50 fee to be evaluated and then he will tell me the pricing. I told him I really just need a range because I am on a tight budget and did not want to pay a fee when I'm not sure if I can even afford it. Here is how the rest of the conversation went: Hi Nicole, If you are only concerned with costs and lack the funds for professional training, a more economical approach would be to read as many books on dog training as you can afford and attend group obedience classes at a pet store. I would also add that professional dog training is an investment not just for your dog, but for you! It is certainly cheaper than replacing carpet or other items in your home due to destructive behaviors or having to pay medical bills because your dog hurt someone while jumping or biting.
