| - Who knew some person from Lubbock, TX could get shaved ice dooooowwwn. Coming from Hawaii where shave ice lines go out the door...the quality and consistency of the ice here has a lot of them beat! Serious. My husband kept saying how the ice is like ice cream, but ice. Hahhhaa. Uh okay, husband.
Now if only they had flavors and toppings like you'd see back home we are officially in business. However, one can't keep doing that. I certainly do not want to compare.
They have a ridiculous selection of shaved ice flavors. The awesome part for those who are sensitive to it, even offer a great amount of sugar free selections. Also, you can add ice cream into your shave ice and that too offers sugar free ice cream.
I really wish we all ordered the baby size because even the small had us brain freezed. We all couldn't even finish our small size. So since we got our first visit in...now I know how to shuffle our sizes around and who will share with who. So note-to-self...a small can certainly be shareable between the young children. Depending on ages...even the baby size can be shareable unless you don't care much about brain freeze or sugar rush.
The flavors to us were pretty good. Collectively, we had a banana colada, root beer float, strawberry, coconut creme pie, and one that had toasted coconut/white coconut/pina colada. Coconut seemed to be the theme tonight with us. Pricing seemed to be pretty reasonable. A regular size costs about 3.69 and the small was 20 cents less. I think? Lol. Somewhere along that. The baby size is 2.99. All I know is for 5 shave ices we spent 18 dollars and some.change.
Oh, and you don't have to limit your shave ice to one flavor. You get up to 3 flavors into your cup.
It was very clean in there. I was counting on sitting on sticky tables, seats, or listening to my sneakers suction to the ground because of some shave ice spill that got neglected. But nope! Young kids working in there just trying to learn the art of work so be patient with their service as they're doing their best! They did pretty good to me! Cool thing is they have board games and card games for kids/adults to entertain themselves with. Patio seating which is awesome over a cup of whatever you are having.
We will certainly return as we have nothing like it in our vicinity especially for shave ice! If shave ice isn't your thing, they do have smoothies and a couple other options that I honestly did not care to look at as we came for shave ice and shave ice alone.
Highly recommend! Definitely kid and stroller friendly!
