  • I used a living social deal for a schellac manicure. I get my nails done on a regular basis but this was probably the worst manicure I've ever had! My first impression was not good, pulling up it's in a run down house with phrases painted in the window with window paint. It wasn't dirty but it didn't feel clean or spa like at all. I was on time for my appointment but ended up waiting 20 past because there wasn't a spot for me at the manicure bar. There was no manicure part, no soaking of cuticles, no pushing the cuticles back, she barely filed my nails. Instead of using acetone or nail polish remover to take my old nail polish off she used a strange grinder thing and actually dinged my cuticles a few times. The "schellac" application was poor at best, she didn't get the sides of my nails, on most nails the top coat didn't even go to the edges, but she did manage to get gel under each nail so my skin was stuck to the underside of my nails. Glitter must be their "thing" because there were random flecks of glitter on my nails. I was also very disappointed in the color choices, cnd makes a beautiful soft baby pink, which is what I was hoping to get, but they only had very loud bright colors. When I asked if they had more neutral colors, the lady responded in a baby voice "oh but those are so boring!" I opted for a color changing color because the "warm" color was the soft neutral pink I was looking for. After three days I decided to take it off because the inconsistency with the application was so poor. After three hours if soaking my nails in acetone, using an orange stick, and a file/buffer my natural nails are completely destroyed due to the grinder that was used at the start of the "manicure." This salon is a mess and completely unprofessional, I was thinking of suggesting them to a bride whose wedding I'm in next summer because they do on-sight hair and make up; but after this aweful experience there is no way!
