| - A couple of days ago I brought my car for an oil change and balancing my tires. I was told that it would take a couple of hours!! So, I had my son picked me up as I had other errands to run. In the meantime, they called me and said that they recommended a fuel injection after 30,000 miles and that the front right strut was leaking and it should be replaced, in fact both of them should be replaced at the same time for a merely cost of $1,200.00! Remember, I came in for an oil change! I mentioned to the guy that I have a AAA warranty and that the strut would probably be covered. Right away, he started saying that they probably won't cover this, and that, blah, blah, blah. I said can you at least checked with them, unless you want me to call them. He finally agreed and he called back later and said that, yes, everything is covered for the right strut but not the good one, that we still should have both of them done with the fuel injection for the mere cost of $800 something now! He was pressuring me on having the extra work done.
I said no, just do the right strut, the oil change, balancing my tires and the alignment now! By then, it was early afternoon and I had another appt to go to and the car wouldn't be ready, they offered me a rental car at no charge. So, I took it. Of course, the guy at the rental car place was also pressuring me on using their insurance instead of mine at the cost of $23 per day. Once again, I said no, I'll use my own insurance. By the time I got out of this place, I was very irritated! I finally got my car back the next day. The right strut is fixed at no cost to me. But one thing is sure, they will not see me in that place ever again! The amount of pressure from them to have extra work done on your vehicle is very high. Yes, I'm a woman, but I'm not that stupid about cars! I would not recommend this garage.
