  • Since I have been watching cupcake wars and Cake Boss a lot recently, I thought I would look for a place in Madison to get a good cupcake. I saw there was a place right on State and boy was I in for a real let down. I got the red velvet and my girlfriend got the favorite. The wrapper was hard to peel off because it was refrigerated for so long and the cake was dry and didn't taste good at all. The frosting was rock solid (refrigerated too long) and just fell off the top because it did not stick to the actual cake. If I would have known this cupcake was gonna be this bad I would have gone to the grocery store and purchased funfetti cake mix for around the same price. The sad thing is they probably get a lot of business because of their location and people see a cupcake place and think "wow isn't this a neat little place." However, people should be aware that they probably let the quality slip because they know they will get business regardless.
