| - I have been to this store several times, but yesterday's experience tipped the scales. Their customer service is beyond horrible. You can find nearly every type of fabric here, including more recent trendy fabrics. I was looking in the area where they sell ends of super soft knit fabrics popular in current knit tops. The table is typically piled high with lots of fabrics all tangled together and it is always a challenge to find what you want (and untangle it from the nearby lengths of fabric).
Yesterday, there was an employee folding all of the fabric, and putting them in nice neat piles on the table. There were also several small piles of fabric on the floor surrounding the table. I smiled at her and said "this must be a never-ending job right?" and proceeded to search on the opposite side of the table. She didn't even acknowledge me, and a few minutes later, came around the table and just stared at me kind of dumbly. I don't know if she was trying to make me leave the area, but I continued to shop. Later, I worked my way around the table and was looking at some of the fabrics she had just folded. She gave me the most hateful look- like 'how dare you touch the stuff I just fixed.' Then another woman walked by and accidentally stepped on some of the fabric that was on the floor *by this employee's feet*, and she rudely said "PLEASE DON'T STEP ON THE FABRIC!"
If their prices weren't so good for this kind of fabric ($1.99/yard) where it is upwards of $9/yd at other places, I would never shop here. I also like that I can get regular and invisible zippers for 25 cents to 50 cents each as well as all sorts of other odd notions. For example, yesterday I picked up a huge bag of 3/8" elastic- probably about 15+ yards, for $4. So the good prices trump the terrible service, but I think if the management required better customer service, they would have even more business.
If you have lots of time and thick skin, give this place a try.
