  • This was my experience attempting to get a car loan from Desert Schools and the subsequent letter I wrote to them about it. Truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do not bank here. "After about a month of looking for a vehicle and finally agreeing on a price with a seller I came to Desert Schools to get my car loan. What a giant mistake. This process has been botched by no less than 4 of your employees. First I got pre-approved to make this process easier. Then last Tuesday I called and told a representative my situation and asked if I met the seller at a branch that night if the loan could be processed and was told that yes you guys could do this. An hour drive later I get to a branch with the seller and we walk up and we are told whoops no we can't do it tonight but that you need to clear something with the title with the MVD and that it would be expedited and be ready the following day. I talk to the woman the next day who is working my loan and I am told that they need additional information, which I give to her, and I am told no it will actually be Friday or Saturday. I then hear nothing until Monday when I finally decide to call and check on the status of the loan. The lady says oh I still need information. At this point she asks me for the information that I already gave her and that it will now be Wednesday. I notify the seller and he then sells the car. This is the single worst customer experience I have ever received. I have been a member of Desert schools for at least 2 decades. You guys pissed away a month of effort, money spent on Carfax, and hours of driving and have done nothing about it. After all this a manager says to me, alp sorry nothing we can do now. If all I am going to get is a whoops from you guys then you leave me very little choice. We are pulling all of our money out. There will be a report to the BBB and will use Yelp and any other means possible to put this story out to your customer base.
