I really can't say enough about Jay's school...
Jay does a great job of keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed while also effectively teaching his students. It comes through that Jay not only has a passion for what he does, but the students he teaches it to as well. He even has the patience to teach uncoordinated guys like me!
The other students in the class are great. There is a certain level of camaraderie developed between you and your training partners. They become more than friends, they become like your family. Everyone there is trying to make others succeed. I have yet to encounter a 'bully' on the mat.
I go to morning classes and there is a nice mix of skill level. All of the higher belts are very helpful to us new guys. Everyone has their ego checked at the door.
The schedule is very convenient too. There are multiple different classes during the day, including Judo and a woman's class as-well.
For me, on a personal level, starting classes here has helped me in so many other area's of my life. My stress levels have reduced greatly. Once I started my day with jiu jitsu, the rest seems to just flow. There are also existential life lessons gleaned, things about myself and life in general I learned, like breathing effectively through difficult situations - but everyone will have their own, so you need to come to class and discover them for yourself!
