  • My friends and I all stayed at THEhotel for EDC. After our little road trip and waiting to get checked in, we found out from their fine print that their double bed rooms were on a first come first serve basis. I suppose it was our fault for not reading into it, but when my friend's girlfriend came up to the counter to speak with the person, they immediately said that they had to charge my friend another $30. HOLD. UP. First of all, who said she was even going to stay with us? She could have just been someone tagging along or a friend who met us up. Well, either way she was, but the room was meant for 4 people and she was only the third one, so it still wouldn't make any damn sense. Anyway, we resolved the issue with a couple roll-away beds. The rooms are nice and ours had 2 restrooms; one had a tub and shower. THEhotel has a lot of restaurants located within the building and next door to Mandalay Bay so you have plenty of dining options. The downside to THEhotel is the location! It's pretty far from the strip, so walking IS an option, but it just wouldn't be worth the time and effort, IMO. I'd stay here if you were the type of person who just doesn't want to put up with all the traffic and commotion of the strip.
