Very impressed with Dr. Mendonca. Not impressed with support staff (front office to back office). My mom has breast cancer and after her first treatment she had questions the next day and was given a number to call and reach her Infusion RN as we did and never got a return phone call after three attempts. When you're diagnosed with Cancer (I can only go by Mom's experience) you're scared to death, and if you have questions their should be no slip ups when you call). This was not the RN's fault as she NEVER got the message. My mother was very short of breath 5 days before third treatment. She called the number given and the RN told her to go to the ER. When she arrived for her third treatment her Oncologist, Dr. Mendonca was not aware that she had been to the ER. She had no clue because her support staff didn't notify her. When dealing with Cancer patients your Oncologist should know everything that happens with you. Again, not Dr. Mendonca's fault but the support staffs. Her Infusion Nurses are phenomenal as is Dr. Mendonca, keep in mind you'll deal with support staff more than your Doctor.
