  • LP Family Foods is a weird little convenience/grocery store in that it doesn't seem to know what it wants to be. They have a lot of frozen stuff crammed into a small wall of freezers, baked pies and cookies bearing the Safeway name and even Jamaican beef and chicken patties. It's like walking into a miniature grocery store..... But with prices more like a convenience store. It's like they went shopping at Safeway and decided to re-sell the stuff at a higher price to trapped urban dwellers on 17th Ave. It's convenient, yes, but if you live in the area try to find a bus to a real supermarket. It will be cheaper and fresher.... But these guys are good for smokes on 17th if you're at one of the neighbouring bars.
