I found this place by chance on the internet and I gave it a try.
The first thing that's cool about it is that it's not a traditional gym. It's only trainers and trainees working. It's also a very social environment where people talk to each other while working hard.
When you sign up, they ask you a bunch of questions and then they pair you up with a trainer than is suited towards your fitness goals and schedule. The first session has you do some exercises to gauge your strength and flexibility and the trainer spend some time probing deeper into your specific objectives in between sets.
Subsequent sessions are built on the progress of the previous sessions. Very close attention is spent to proper form so that you don't hurt yourself. The exercises change every session so that it keeps it interesting and so that the supporting muscles around the primary muscles get well developed. I also learn a ton about fitness and strength training. I am taught exactly how to do something and why I'm doing it.
I started noticing improvements in my strength and flexibility in my regular life after a couple weeks. After a couple months my wife was really impressed with the improvements in my physique and I feel a lot straighter, broader, and balanced.
For me it was the perfect match up for what I wanted and I look forward to going to my sessions. I see it as a worthwhile investment in my future to be able to stay strong and mobile as I get older.
I highly recommend it. There is no ongoing commitment cost or sign up fee or any of that garbage.
