This was my first experience with an escape the room game. We were a group of seven people. We chose the "contaminated hospital" theme. Five of the people in our group had previous experience with these kinds of games. Service was friendly and gave us clear instructions before we went in. My group appointed me leader so I was given the walkie talkie to communicate with staff. We went in blindfolded and was instructed to wait for background music to cue us to begin which unnerved us a little. It built a lot of tension.
We found it challenging since we did end up using our two clues. One of our biggest cons was the walkie talkie since it was difficult to hear the clues over the background music and the quality of the sound coming through was hazy.
As for the theme's decor I feel like the first room could have had more props as it was pretty barren.
Overall it was challenging, yet our group managed to escape. When we got out of the room we were told that we were the first group to escape that theme room for the day as the pass rate was 5%.
All in all we had a good time working together for the common goal of "survival."
