| - The first time we had Indian Delhi takeout, we would have given it 4 stars possibly. Combined with our most recent experience, it's gone down to 3 stars.
The cooking of the food is pretty inconsistent. We've ordered the same dishes more than once (saag paneer, tikka masala, chana masala) and they can taste completely different every time! Like the actual taste of the dish can be totally different depending on which cook is working that day. Also when you tell them the level of spiciness, this is also wildly inconsistent. Once we got "spicy" and it was so spicy that it gave us stomachaches and it was a challenge to finish the dishes. And seriously, we are people who love spice. We love to have our mouths burned. But this was insane. And then another time we got "medium spicy" for one dish and "spicy" for another dish, and neither were any detectable level of spicy.
They also gave us chicken in one dish when we ordered lamb, and it said lamb on the receipt, and we paid for lamb.
Overall, we like the dishes, and they're good, but it's become too much of a gamble to order from here and so we're more than likely to look elsewhere next time we need our Indian food fix.
