  • I've been in my condo since 2008, and haven't had my carpets cleaned since I moved in. I decided that a cleaning was long overdue, so I went online to find a reasonably priced outfit to do the job. I found the Green Carpet Cleaning Pros website, and saw that they were offering a special rooms for $59, so I called for an appt. Damian, the technician came over to my place, took a look around, asked a few questions, and was ready to go to work. He cleaned a patch of carpeting about 2 feet square to show me the difference between how it looked before and after. Well, you can imagine after not having the carpets cleaned in 8 years or so, it was like night & day. However, since I'd neglected the carpets for so long, he told me that it would take more work, and more money if I wanted to make everything look really good. I wasn't crazy about paying what turned out to be over $200, but if I had my carpets cleaned on a regular basis, it wouldn't have cost so much. A lesson learned I guess. After I agreed on the price, Damian started cleaning, and we chatted about sports, as I have a lot of sports memorabilia in my place. He asked me if I ever bet, and I told him that I used to work in one of the sports books here in town. I mentioned that we had several celebs that would regularly bet at the book: Charles Barkley, Vince Vaughn, and last but not least, Pete Rose. He was familiar with Barkley & Vaughn, but hadn't heard of Pete Rose! I was kind of surprised, I thought Rose's gambling was legendary, until he told me he was born in 1989. I told him to "Google" Pete when he had a chance. This didn't have anything to do with the cleaning, I just thought it was an interesting interaction. Anyway, after about an hour, he was finished, and my carpets looked great. They were still wet for a few hours, but once they dried, it was like back when I first moved in. I would recommend these guys if your looking to get your carpets cleaned. Don't make the mistake I did and wait several years, have a cleaning every year.
