Never seen a Vietnamese restaurant in an old diner, definitely threw me off for a while. I would've driven in circles before thinking this was the place.
So I walk in...it's pretty empty. I never like empty restaurants, it tells me what's going to come, normally a very bad time. No one was there to greet, so I decided to sit at the bar since I was dining alone that night. There was about ten customers total in this place. Took a while for someone to give me a menu, even though the waitresses passed me multiple times. After finally looking over the menu, I decided I wanted to try their spring rolls, and I really wanted a sandwich. Wanted to try the veggie Bahn Mi. After she brings me the rolls, she informs me that they are out of avocado. That's basically the main ingredient in the sandwich. I didn't really want much meat, so I agreed to basically a sandwich with some greenery in it.
Spring rolls with just shrimp were very good...although on the small side. The peanut sauce was very tasty as well. When my sandwich came...I noticed that it too was on the small side. Bread was good, just wish I had the full power of the veggie sandwich with all the ingredients.
So basically I left there hungry. Food was cheap tho...I might give them another shot.
