  • My fiancĂ© took me here as part of a birthday gift. She had everything arranged with concierge before hand and I hit to tell you this had to be by far the best hotel we stayed at. Vip stay wS nice, private check in, private elevators, a casino hostess to assist us during our stay. Casino was spread out with the table games near one area and slots covering a huge section of the floor plate extending in multiple directions. My first time playing craps and the dealers were nice and helpful. Pool- nice but closes at 7....too early. Shopping- next door is summerline downtown a Howard Hughes project, very big and tons of choices to include trader joes. Rooms spacious, tub and shower, was lucky to get a room facing the fireworks, red rock and pool for my July 4th birthday, another testament to the thoroughness of the concierge staff. They also left chocolate strawberries and wine on the 4th. Couple other notes. Great bowling alley, huge. Food court next to alley and located inside the casino has allot of good selections. Parking is comped with room so you can self or valet. They leave a paper outside each door each morning. Only negatives was the tbone restaurant in second floor and cigarette smoke in casino. Will definitely be coming back. Last night a fire alarm went off, about 4am. I'm not complaining like another "special" reviewer. The alarm system is meant to go off if there's an alarm. I'm just happy it works and reminded me to go on my 8 mile run. When I checked with front desk about alarm it was a real alarm related to someone tampering with one in a room. Update - morning we were checking out tried the Buffett. Line was 20 min long but only 10 people. Wtf is wrong with this picture... I asked the cashier why so long she says the person that works the regular guest line wasn't here yet. - unacceptable when you have 2 people working an admirals status line with only a few people, when our line grew from 10 to 30 in a matter of minutes. Also butter not near the waffles instead on other side of salad bar versus the hot food line side. Small gripe but the devil is in the details. Food was ok not good. Pastries need some work. Whoever manages the Buffett should be a little more motivated to provide the same level of service we received at the rest of the hotel. Even with the lame experience at the Buffett I still will be coming back to the hotel everything else was just so good not to.
