| - Wow. What an impressive lunch. I have been meaning to get to this place for quite awhile and finally got down there today. While it is way the hell out of the way, I think the farm is fully worth the trip.
I met my buddy and we ordered sandwiches. I had a really difficult time deciding what to eat and when pressed, blurted out "Pulled pork sandwich!". After I got my drink and paid my rather steep fee, I was immediately regretting my decision. Why would I get BBQ pork here? I should have had something else. If I'm gonna eat pork, it should be at Joe's or Dave's or someplace that is known for BBQ right? I was bummed.
Then I got my sandwich and sunk my teeth into it. WOOWEE! That is some damn fine pork! It was not overly BBQ-y, and the cole slaw/bell pepper mixture on top was AMAZING! The bread was delicious as well, and everything together made a really nice sandwich.
The setting is unbeatable, and with a lemonade, some good BBQ, and some French Bossa Nova playing on the stereo, I was transported to a whimsical lunch spot that really made my afternoon.
The issue? The price. $15 for sandwich, drink, and chips is too much money to spend on a lunch that, while very delicious, still left me a bit hungry at the end. Not that I need a heaping pile of sandwich to get me through the day, but still.....4 (for price) rounded up to 5 (atmosphere).
