  • Ok. I did it. I made my first visit to the Pittsburgh Popcorn Company. The first thing I quickly learned, is that people can get really excited about popcorn. I am glad there was a line, and a bit of a wait. This allowed me to watch and listen to customers as they approached the counter to profess their love for their flavor of choice. No judgements. To each their own. Trust me, some of the flavor choices were so far out there. At one point, one patron was under so much pressure with making her choice, that the suggestion was made to combine the 2 flavors into the same bag. This seemed to ease her tension and line began to move once again. I opted for the Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese, and was very impressed with the taste and quality. I was even more impressed, and surprised, to see how much popcorn can be stuffed into the bag. It's great that they offer 3 different bag sizes and prices. I really enjoyed my first visit to the Pittsburgh Popcorn Company and need to add that I really think it was more about the experience itself. It was really fun to watch the upbeat employees man the giant popcorn making machines , smell the multitude of popcorn flavors filling the air, along with the uniqueness of the whole operation. It's almost like going to see a show, except the popcorn is offered at the end!
