  • This place is about as French as french fries.....This is kind of like an Epcot version of Paris. Really an overpriced typical tacky LV experience. I think Parisians everywhere are crying at the comparison. I did think it was a riot that the informational video on how to exit the hotel in case of a fire is done by a french guy (or someone pretending to have a bad french accent.) It has a VERY smoky casino-if you're a non-smoker, you will reek by the time you get to and from your hotel room as you try to exit the hotel. The concierges were probably the least helpful of any I've used. And it is the slowest place ever. Every restaurant in the building has a line outside and empty tables inside. My guess is they're trying to create an impression of a desirable place with people waiting outside. We ate at the cafe--they are all generic so I can't say which one. I ordered a bagel--think dunkin donuts bagel. I waited probably 10 or 15 minutes to order it and then another 5-10 to get it. There are three registers--when I was there each one had about 8-12 people in line and one--yes one-person preparing the "to go" food. We had two bagels, a banana and a small juice and it was about $15. The room itself was not bad and I do like that they have a spoke-and-wheel sort of set up for the hotel rooms so no room is really next to the elevators where you would have to listen to people coming and going all night. But in their attempt to replicate a European experience, they have the shower with just a raised marble divider from the shower and the main bath area. The drain grate for the shower is at the high point of the slanted, angled floor, which is problematic since water doesn't typically drain upwardly. Consequently, the floor in the bathroom gets very wet and extremely slippery. (water on marble.) Also, there is a massive armoire in the room and because it takes up the bulk of one side, the flat screen TV is way off to the side, which makes it difficult to view from one of the beds.
