301 Mongolia was a great addition downtown when they opened. Fresh food and great service! Clearly things have changed since they shut down and reopened. All the produce was dried up and browned around the edges making it difficult to put together a decent bowl.
My 7 year old and I arrived just after 11 on a Sunday and were the only customers until about 12:30. The group was sat next to us, slightly awkward in a completely vacant restaurant, and immediately began commenting on the produce and cleanliness of their dishes.
The menu lists kids 12 and below are just under $8. It would be nice if they included an asterisk or if the server would mention that kids recieve adult pricing if they choose to make a second bowl. After he made his second bowl, it was close to 10 minutes before someone went to cook it on the grill. At this point, we were still the only customers in the restaurant and were becoming less than thrilled with the service.
We ordered chocolate wontons to finish off on a sweet note since our meals were lacking. They were terrible :( So much so that I let the server know since only 1.5 was eaten. She shrugged. Luckily we had a coupon for this visit because it was awful and it's clear to see why this place never seems to have any business when walking past.
