  • Well.....so I am building this parrot aviary, and I need 50 bolts and nuts and I know if I buy at a regular hardware store it is gonna cost me like 50 plus bucks or even more so I look for a bulk place via the internet. I don't want to wait until they ship it to me so I look for a local place and I find Mark's in Glendale. It's like 3:30pm when I finally get the time to go there and I live midtown Phoenix so it takes me like an hour to drive there because of rush hour. I get there at 4:45 and to make it easier on him (since he knows where everything is and it would take me a while looking around to find what I want) so I show him the bolt I brought and told him I want one a little thinner and a little longer and I need 50 of them. Boy talk about abrupt and rushed and kind of pissed off. Look, I know he wanted to go home but I had to drive an hour to get there during rush hour so I would think he would have been a tad nicer. Anyway I sort of joked around with him and told him that it said nice things about him on the internet but maybe someone needs to rewrite that review and it must be time for a vacation. He was actually really funny and said, those people who write nice things ruin it for everyone and you can't believe what you read! He had to smile a bit, so me and the other guy in the store laughed and it was all good ! Wished I could have had time to look around cause it looks like they got EVERYTHING ! He did ask me if they didn't sell bolts on my side of town and I just said, Nope. No bolts. He smiled again. It cost me about 10 bucks instead of over 50. So if he seems a little gruff when you go in there....he isn't really gruff don't let him fool ya...he is just trying to live up to his sweet personality they wrote about him !
